Jamie: A fall get together in Arizona sounds really neat! My buddy and I have been wanting a fall Arizona trip and that's a much easier drive and way less gas money for this kid. That's my slow time at the ranch and the Raptor Center too. Keep us posted and I'll sure try to put that trip on my calendar!....mel

Holy smokes Jamie! Those cuts are outrageous. You guys must've hunted areas way different from those I've visited. I don't think I found hardly any of that loose filament moss and fortification stuff on any of my trips. Amazing variety of patterns in your cuts! keep them pics a'comin. I'm loving this!....mel

Tom, that's an absolutely wonderful gift, must have taken you hours to put all of those cd's together.
Jamie, you must really have an eye for that stuff, I can't believe some of the gorgeous slabs you're showing. That pink one (3rd pic in the 2nd set) is just beautiful.

It's a little too sunny to get good photos today, but you get the idea - Dry Wet Closer Some cute little agate specimens I found - Hope to do some cutting later on today. Off to get my Workforce as we speak! 8-)S

Well, I was going to wait for the last minute stragglers to get back, but y'all are already posting! It was amazing! For those that will come out for future trips but are limited on time, make it the first couple days. I saw four or five only in passing. I wish I could have spent more time with them!
My final total was *ahem* 100 lbs. of take home agate according to Trey's weighing system. (Hmm...this bucket weighs around 75 lbs.... let's call this one 50 lbs. That okay with you?) I think Dan ended with the most found (and kept) agate, but Kim was right behind him. I'll be washing and cutting my chunks tomorrow. I'm off to a different set of mountains now, for a quick birthday party I seemed to have missed the memo on, but no rockhounding there.
Oh Jamie - Don did a terrific job finishing your soup. It tasted delicious, and was the perfect food for the end of Wednesday!
I'll post more tomorrow!

Wow Susan, lots of incredibly colorful drool worthy material in those pics! See you got some good bubbly hunks that should have some nice moss or plume too.
Arkansan: Man, you guys all cleaned up. 100 pounds is great. Sounds like Trey inherited his scale system from his dad. Technique hasn't changed in 20 years *S* All right Dan and Kim, where are your pics? *LOL* Come on, you're holding out on us!....mel
