I would not recommend adding any additional 120/220 grit. You only use 2 tablespoons per Lot-O batch. That 2lb bag should last quite some time. Extra 60/90 (or even 46/70) would be a good idea though (if you know you're going to stick with this hobby).

I know right ! She said it's part of an estate so there may be more. I'm waiting to call her later. Dibs on those 2 though ! I live in a tiny bungalow with neighbors about 5 feet away on both sides! I would have nowhere to store those 2 machines and even if I did I doubt the neighbors would like to hear them running.

I would get some large and small cylinder ceramics to use in the Lot-O. therockshed.com/grit2.htmlI would also suggest getting some rocks since you get a nice % off when purchasing a tumbler.

#2 and #10 for the win! Great batch. How's the obsidian barrel coming along?

My big January thing is watching the Dakar coverage, all half hour a day of it. It is absolutely amazing to me how well the minis do in a run of roughly 5k miles. I would love to see this race in person. Closest I've gotten was watching the Mint 400 parade pass by while working in Vegas earlier this year.

Awesome. I've got this material running with some obsidian and apache tears. Really excited now after seeing your pictures. I'll keep an eye on the barrel for gas buildup. I'm also going to attempt to facet a few pieces.

That gokart would not survive long out here in the creosote Cool pictures. Just a few upgrades is all it takes.

When I was at that Lapidary Club, one of the guys there said the same thing. Actually he said he dropped them to see if they'd break. I get it, nothing worse than starting a project and having it break before you can finish. Yeah, one thing worse. When trying wire wrapping, I often wanted to break it all WHILE in the middle of the project. Throwing it against the wall will tell you if it's sturdy. Much respect for those that can do it and do it well. Wire wrapping, that is. I can throw things with the best of them. This man speaks truth. That wire wrapping is some black magic!

After moving to the middle of nowhere and becoming a hermit, this will be the first machine I purchase! Thanks for the video.

My car really gets fun when you race it (I do Autocross - or it might be called Solo now). Might not be the fastest car in the world, but there's not a corner it won't go around very quickly. I've hit my limit before and the car was still firmly planted to the ground and wanting me to push more!

I drive a Mini Cooper Coupe which is a little different than most Minis you're used to seeing on the roads. It's a true 2-seater. It's a perfect car for living in the city. So, when I recently purchased the Facetron that QuailRiver was selling I had the package redirected to our local FedEX office. "It's just a faceting machine - how big could the box be" I thought. As she slid the box out to me I asked "you sure that's mine". Larry wins an award for packing! I carried the box to my car. Wasn't going to fit in the front seat. But somehow, fit right into the back. Got a few weird looks while loading it. Just thought I would share this great photo. Never judge a small car! I now know the max size package that will fit into my car... And here's a shot showing the rest of the car
